Rabbi Seth L. Bernstein was a featured speaker on May 21 when members of Temple Sinai marched with an interfaith coalition of Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, and Buddhists to raise awareness of hunger in Central Massachusetts. The Worcester Faith Community Hunger Initiative sponsored the walk and a City Hall rally to begin a coordinated effort at focusing on why people are going hungry in the Worcester area. According to a study done by the Worcester County Food Bank and Second Harvest, 71,000 people in Worcester County received emergency food in 2005, a 40 percent increase over five years ago.
